We loved staying at this hostel in Whaingarora -Raglan! the location was perfect, just a short walk to the town centre and amazing coffee. the rooms were ideal for a weekend getaway or a central location for a holiday. We met so many people from Aotearoa and all over the world. the dining and lounge had breathtaking views of Mount Pirongia. We also appreciated the availability of surfing gear and transport to the beach. a great location with a cozy, hostel atmosphere.
Felt spoiled, no complaints.

Great location in the heart of town with easy access to bars, restaurants, and the estuary. The hostel offers a shared kitchen that is well-equipped and clean. They also have a jacuzzi and sauna, perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring.
Although the bathrooms were generally clean, the floors could have been cleaner. there were some minor maintenance issues, such as falling curtains in the room, that could easily be fixed for a better experience.

Pos: Raglan Backpackers is a great place to stay if you're into surfing. They provide boards for guest use, and the location is perfect, sandwiched between the water and the main street. It's just a short stroll to shops, bars, cafes, and even a pub. the hostel also has a comfortable lounge and a good-sized kitchen. I especially enjoyed the enclosed courtyard area, it was a really cool concept. the staff are friendly and the atmosphere is fantastic, with good vibes from long-term guests. Plus, the free hot tub and sauna amenities are a definite bonus. The wifi is reliable and the overall facilities are impressive. Cons: Could not be improved in any way. 🌟.
